1) I have a Kino Video edit of Cabiria, and can remove the soundtrack. The translator for the intertitles was placed in the credits, so can anyone tell me if that makes the production a copyrighted work?

2) My copy of 'Down to the Sea in Ships' is presented with a new soundtrack and some information about an archival restoration. Again, if I remove the soundtrack, will that remove its copyright status?

3) I have a copy of 'Flesh and the Devil', but I have to remove the soundtrack. I don't know if this film is PD.

4) My copy of 'She' is colorized. If you want, I'll remove the colors before I upload the file.

5) I have a copy of 'Show People', but is it Public Domain?

6) I have a copy of 'Stella Maris', but the soundtrack would have to be removed. This movie is PD.

7) I don't know if 'Sunrise' is PD. If it is, I'm suprised no one has uploaded it yet.

8) Again, is 'Tabu, a Story of the South Seas' PD?

9) 'The Student Prince in Old Heidelberg' has to have its soundtrack removed. I don't know if this film is PD.

10) I'm pretty sure 'Wings' is not PD.

If any experts out there have any answers, it would be greatly appreciated.

"She" (1935) is one of the great unsung adventure films. Merian C. Cooper's superb production. Stage actress and congress woman Helen Gahagan Brown's only film role. It would be fantastic if it could be uploaded.

Phil:

I understand. Once the public domain status has been verified the music beds may be removed for uploading. The colorized "She" can have the colorization removed for uploading. And yes, I agree on "Wings".
